Take in the dramatic beauty surrounding Whittier and visit a wild animal refuge and a scenic bird sanctuary. Head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where animals unable to survive in the wild find refuge in spacious habitats. Here, you can safely get close to, observe and photograph some of Alaska's largest land mammals, including moose, bison, bears and musk ox. Enjoy a guided tour before 45 minutes of free time to shop or explore on your own.The Potter Marsh Bird Sanctuary is located at the southern end of the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge. It's a photographer's paradise with a chance to see rare migratory birds, spawning salmon (when in season) and other wildlife surrounded by the beauty of the Chugach National Forest and Cook Inlet. The Seward Highway - Alaska's Scenic Byway and an All American Road skirts the base of the Chugach mountains and the shore of Turnagain Arm. Enjoy picturesque mountain and waterway views as you travel the northern portion of the highway.

The content of this tour is identical to WH1-115. Only guests using a wheelchair can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation. Due to the specialized nature of some lift-equipped vehicles, priority is given to guests using a wheelchair and one companion only; additional companions may be required to travel on the transportation provided for tour WH1-115. Bookings not marked with an accessibility requirement will be removed from the tour's inventory.

This tour can accommodate manual and electric wheelchairs. The lift on the vehicle can accommodate a maximum weight of 600 lbs., maximum length of 47 inches and maximum width of 30 inches. Passengers with disabilities must contact the onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours prior to the excursion to ensure arrangements can be made to meet their particular needs. Please be sure to read the "Accessible Cruising" information on the home page of Princess.com.

This tour is available to passengers disembarking in Whittier with an overnight stay in Anchorage after their cruise or departing on flights after 3:00pm on the day of disembarkation. It is not available to passengers on back-to-back voyages who will stay onboard the ship and cruise back to Vancouver. The tour ends at the Anchorage airport at 12:45pm and at the hospitality center at 1:15pm. If you book this tour and already purchased a transfer, contact the onboard Tour Office so they may refund the transfer.

Whittier tours are only available to cruisetour guests who spend the first night of their package in Anchorage. Other cruisetour guests cannot take an excursion as they would miss the transfer to their next destination.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
