Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or a complete novice, a tour to a winery is the ideal way to to discover wine's subtle and complex flavors. What better way to learn than with a visit to the Willamette Valley, acclaimed as "Oregon Wine Country." Covering over 19,000 acres of vineyards, the valley is Oregon's oldest wine region and home to over 700 wineries and tasting rooms. Soak up the valley's serene scenery on a panoramic drive from the pier to your first destination-Apolloni Vineyards. Here, you can experience a tasting flight of several wines, take a walk among the vineyard, visit the barrel cave or play a game of Bocce ball. Next, is Ardiri Winery and Vineyards. Overlooking breathtaking views of the countryside, here you can sip and savor a tasting flight of pinot noirs and white wine blends incorporating grapes from Willamette Valley and California's Napa Valley.
