WHAT YOU VISIT
- George Washington House
The 180-year-old church is a picture-perfect example of Gothic-inspired architecture complete with imposing façade. Step inside the sun-dappled interior and marvel at the elaborately carved pulpit and beautifully designed curved staircases. Walk to the cemetery for a look at the gravesites of local luminaries including that of Ferdinando Paleologus, a descendent of Emperor Constantine the Great.
- Garrison Tunnels
Discovered during the restoration of George Washington House, the almost forgotten underground tunnels were used as secret passageways for soldiers, connecting them to still undiscovered locations throughout the 10,000-foot military area.
- St. Ann's Fort
Built in 1705 and named after Her Majesty, Queen Ann, the British military headquarters holds 100 well-preserved and truly magnificent colonial buildings. A tour of the armory boasts an extensive cannon collection. Explore the Soldier's Prison, now home to the Barbados National Museum, and experience firsthand the insides of a soldier's cell.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Some of the sights you'll see include the famous Careenage, the town's natural harbor. It may be hard to imagine but hundreds of years ago, the harbor's calm waters would be filled with ships lying on their sides waiting to be cleaned after their long Atlantic journey. Another sight to behold is the House of Parliament. Established in 1639, it's the third oldest Parliament in the Commonwealth. Opposite the Parliament Buildings is Heroes Square, a small square built in tribute to the island's many heroes.

The upper floor of the George Washington House, has a museum dedicated to slavery in Barbados and is not part of the tour. Coaches are not permitted to take scooters, wheelchairs or walkers.Child Price:
