This lazy day by the sea begins when you board your motorcoach for the stunning drive along the Catalan coast, through mountain tunnels to the charming beach town of Sitges. You will enjoy an optional, guided walking tour of the old town before having over an hour of free time independently explore this delightful fishing village. Lunch is at the time and place of your choosing, and for beach lovers there are plenty of opportunities to tan on one of the many sandy beaches. Some of the more popular sites include the Church of St. Bartholomew, which has two Gothic burial chambers, and the Maricel Museum, which houses medieval paintings and sculptures. Or, simply wander the narrow streets, browsing the many cafes, galleries, and boutiques. Look out for the impromptu market stalls that appear around town during the summer months, and as Sitges is home to a yearly wine festival, you may wish to sample some local wines.
