Your scenic two-hour drive from port travels along the famed 'Route des Chateaux' offering miles of stunning scenery/ Arrive in lovely Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its spectacular 18th-century neoclassical architecture, and enjoy 2.5 hours to explore on your own. Explore the 33-acre Place des Quinconces, the hub of the city, or stroll along several pedestrian-only streets lined with sophisticated boutiques. Lunch on your own at a sidewalk café or explore the art and history museums. Return to the motorcoach at the designated time and take a short drive to the extraordinary Cite du Vin (Bordeaux Wine Museum), a modern masterpiece of architecture and a tribute to Bordeaux's winemaking heritage. The drive from Le Verdon to Bordeaux is approximately two hours each way.The shops in Bordeaux are open from 10:00am to 7:00pm all week except Sunday and public holidays ; however, some are open on Sundays and public holidays (such as : Galeries Lafayette, FNAC, Passage Ste Catherine…)
