Kuranda Scenic Railway Gold Class
Experience your scenic journey in the splendor of Gold Class. Built between 1886 to 1891 to connect Cairns with the North Queensland goldfields, the refurbished original red-wooden heritage carriages offer a luxurious way to take in the sights of deep gorges and rugged mountains, taking you past magnificent waterfalls, through 15 tunnels and across 37 bridges. Watch the world go by while surrounded in Old World charm, hand-crafted Victorian décor and comfortable club class lounge seating.

Your spectacular journey offers unsurpassed views of the rainforest, steep ravines and the breathtaking scenery within the Barron Gorge National Park.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
En route to Kuranda Village, you'll cross the Barron River and ascend the lush rainforest slopes of the Kuranda Range while enjoying views of Cairns, the surrounding cane fields and the Coral Sea.
