WHAT YOU VISIT
Discover Green Island, a 37-acre coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and lush rainforest, it's a natural gem. On arrival, enjoy a glass-bottom boat tour or go snorkeling to explore the underwater wonders. Prefer to stay dry? Wander self-guided through rainforest trails or the island's beaches. For thrill-seekers, parasailing offers a bird's-eye view of the reef (optional, at extra cost).
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Capture the colorful marine life while snorkeling or explore Marineland Melanesia, home to exotic tribal artifacts and Cassius, the world's largest crocodile in captivity.
SNACK
Enjoy a light lunch: a salad roll (ham & cheese, egg & mayo, or chicken & avocado – subject to availability), a piece of seasonal fruit, chips, and your choice of water or soft drink. Additional snacks are available for purchase at island cafés (local currency required).
SHOPPING
Browse souvenir shops along the boardwalk or visit the Marineland Melanesia gift shop.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Your excursion starts with a 10-minute walk from the pier to the Reef Fleet Terminal, where you'll board a catamaran for a scenic cruise across the Coral Sea. Enjoy views of turquoise waters and feel the breeze as you approach Green Island-formed over 6,000 years ago and uniquely crowned with the only rainforest in the Great Barrier Reef.
Special Notes:
Guests have the choice between two activities: snorkelling gear (deposit required) or glass bottom boat experience. Bring your swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Bring local currency to purchase drinks and stinger suits. Card only is accepted on the island, no cash. Snorkelling is between the flags over sand beds, and guests must be strong swimmers to reach the coral reef.A 10-minute walk to and from the Reef Fleet Terminal is required.
Lycra Suits for hire at a charge of $9.00.
Free time on Green Island may vary due to the ship schedule. Also included is the use of the resort swimming pool.
