Travel South on the Stuart Highway, before heading into the Floodplains Region along the Arnhem Highway. Your destination is Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, where you will take a short walk through the woodlands and monsoon forests that fringe the floodplains to spot wildlife.
Next, drive along the dam wall, before reaching Pandanus Lookout. Here you will have a snack and enjoy the view across the floodplains, while learning about this unique region and its ecosystems, wildlife, seasons and Aboriginal and European history in the area.
Then take the lesser travelled roads through Darwin's rural area, before returning to the pier.
