Get your walking shoes on and prepare to explore this glorious landscape-and hopefully spy a bear or two along the way. Your 2.5-hour adventure begins when you board your motorcoach for a drive through the Tlingit village of Hoonah. Your expert guide will be on hand to provide details about the history and culture of Alaska's largest Tlingit settlement. Arrive at the Spasski River Valley and embark on a walk along gravel and boardwalk paths through the temperate rainforest and over the delicate muskeg to arrive at the viewing platforms. Here, you may be lucky enough to view the brown (grizzly) bears that flock here all year long, especially when the meadows are alive with plump, juicy berries. Aside from the bears, you will also be encouraged to keep your eyes open for Sitka black-tail deer, land otters, salmon and bald eagles. Return to port after this picture-perfect day.

Special Notes:

Minimum age is 8. Please dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes. Tour covers approximately 800 yards of walking over uneven terrain. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
