まずは海沿いの活火山・桜島の景色を眺めながら錦江湾沿いをバスで走ります。最初の訪問先は霧島神宮です。霧島連山は神道の伝説に大きな役割を果たしています。天照大神の孫が天からこの地に降臨し、天皇家を創造したと言われています。森に囲まれた現在の神宮は1715年に造られ、国の重要文化財に指定されています。続いて霧島ホテルでは、温泉に浸かってリラックスしましょう。このホテルの硫黄谷庭園大浴場にあるフリーゾーン（混浴）は奥行きが25mあり、圧巻の広さです。硫黄谷温泉は坂本龍馬と妻のおりょうが浸かったお湯のひとつでもあります。お湯を楽しんだ後、高千穂牧場で一休みしましょう。牧場特産のアイスクリームやお土産を購入した後、バスで港に戻ります
