Explore the scenic highlights of Kagoshima on this half-day, narrated tour. You'll drive through the city suburbs, passing Kinko Bay and the bronze statue of Saigo Takamori, one of the most influential samurai in Japanese history, along the way. You'll travel past Shiroyama Park in downtown Kagoshima, a park that overlooks the towering Mount Shiroyama, and continue on to the scenic overlook at Shiroyama. Here, you'll catch views of the city and Sakurajima Island, one of Japan's most active volcanoes (weather permitting). Considered the symbol of Kagoshima, Sakurajima rises over 3,665 feet above the waters of Kagoshima Bay. The volcano has erupted many times and is still mildly active today with minor eruptions taking place multiple times per day. You'll make a stop at Shochu Brewery to sample sweet potato sake before you return drive back to the pier.

Few steps are required to negotiate boarding the coach, which can only accommodate collapsible wheelchairs at the back of the coach.We suggest passengers carry local currency for purchases.
