This exciting and immersive excursion offers a look into the amazing marine life that lives in Annette Bay and the people who fish Alaska waters. The adventure begins with a short walk along the city promenade to the Aleutian Ballad. As the boat cruises over the ice blue water, you'll have the opportunity to explore the vessel and look out for seals, sea lions and bald eagles. Out on the water, watch the crew set up and haul in longline gear, an environmentally friendly way of fishing. If the seas are willing, the crew will bring up crabs, prawns, starfish, sea urchins and octopus and place them in the live tank for you to view and touch. As you sail back to port, enjoy a ½-pound portion of king crab while listening to stories by people who spent their life hauling in the daily catch.
