Relax aboard a 65-foot open-air catamaran for a 2.5-hour lunch cruise along 12 miles of the Kona district's beautiful coastline. An onboard historian shares legends and local lore that distinguish the Big Island. The high point is the Captain Cook Monument, reachable by hiking or by boat while you tuck into a deli-wrap lunch. Sail Kealakekua Bay, translated as "the pathway of the god." See some of the remaining heiaus, powerful sights of worship from the past. Marvel at Holua Slide, used by Hawaiian nobility for a sledding sport, and Kuamo'o Battlefield, a lava field and historic burial site for 300 warriors who died in 1819 when King Liholiho and Chief Kekuaokalami clashed over religious traditions. Sail back to port listening to live, Hawaiian-style music.
