Sleep in or linger over breakfast, then set out on a historic tour with a late start time. Travel 30 minutes to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, considered the most important archaeological site in Turkey. Enjoy a guided walking of all the highlighted sites. Pass through the Magnesia gate and see the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastika, the Temple of Hadrian. the Library of Celsus, and the Grand Theater, with a capacity of 25,000 seats. Next, enjoy a snack of traditional Turkish pancakes near the mythical Grotto of the Seven Sleepers. Then onwards to the Virgin Mary's house, believed to be the last abode of Jesus's mother. The last stop of the day will be a Turkish carpet and handicraft village, where you will enjoy a carpet presentation on this age-old Turkish tradition.
