Set out on an exploration of powerful female figures in society through the ages. We start with the Greek goddess Artemis, witnessing the site of the magnificent Temple built in her honor and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, our guests will learn of her legacy. We then follow in the footsteps of the Virgin Mary, visiting the house believed to be where she lived and eventually died. Based on a National Geographic article, we will discuss Mary's role as "the most famous woman in the world" and reflect on how in modern day Turkey, the role of the woman is very important. Our guests will visit a local project set up by the local female Mayor of Selçuk, accompanied by a member of her team, to learn about the work they are doing to support the local community, especially children and women.
