Beautiful Lisbon is the one of the most metropolitan and historic cities in Europe, offering the curious traveler plenty of breath-taking highlights to admire on a sight-seeing excursion. This two hour driving tour caters specifically to passengers who want to see the sights, with little or no walking involved. Along the way your guide will point out any particular sights of interest, as well explain much of the city's history and geography.

Your first photo-stop is the unique Belem Tower, a lighthouse and fortress that built on the banks of the Tagus River, and boasts four levels, striking turrets and open balconies.

After taking pictures of this amazing stone building, your next stop is the Monument to the Discoveries, an awe-inspiring stone structure, shaped like the prow of a ship that features statues of Portugal's great explorers.

Your drive then takes you past the incredible 16th century Jeronimos Monastery, a magnificent Gothic building that is considered to be the most important landmark in the city.

Driving by Monsanto Park, your motorcoach will then wind up the hill to the Alto do Parque Belvedere, a delightful open space that offers panoramic vistas of the city and harbor.

Other sights of interest during this relaxing tour include the Avenue of Liberty, Pombal Square, named after the prime-minister who ruled Portugal from 1750 to 1777, and the Rossio and Black Horse Squares, which is famed for its imposing sculpture of a man on horse.

Driving along the splendid Tagus River, you will also pass by the 25th of April Bridge, a suspension bridge that looks similar to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and offers distant views of the Christ the King statue, designed by sculptor Francisco Franco de Sousa.

Although the tour concludes at the pier, you may also choose to remain in town to browse the many shops and cafes, returning to the ship at your leisure.
