Take a breathtaking narrated flightseeing tour over the mountains, glaciers and alpine tundra of Denali National Park. Imagine a world of towering snow covered peaks, vertical rock walls and rivers of ice, you are in the heart of Denali National Park. Soar over the Kahiltna Glacier, the Park's longest, as you take in the high peaks of the Alaska Range. After seeing McKinley's sister peaks, Mt. Foraker and Mt. Hunter get an up close look at the majestic Mt. McKinley, you'll descend into Sheldon Amphitheater and land on the gentle slopes of Ruth Glacier for a walk in the snow (boots are provided). Marvel at the panoramic views, the crunch of ice under your feet, and the quiet of the mountains broken only by the far off rumble of ice and rock slides far off in the distance.
Special Notes:
Due to fluctuations in weather conditions, the ability to land on a glacier changes throughout the summer. Some excursions may not be able to do the glacier landing (Refunds are not automatic, you must visit the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge prior to leaving in order to recieve a partial refund should you not land). Snowboots will be provided.
