Travel on the historic World War I memorial locomotive Passchendaele, built in 1915 and offering an authentic steam train experience. Journey from Picton to Blenheim through scenic landscapes and the thrill to the climb out of Picton on a 1 in 37 slope, the fourth steepest rail in New Zealand.

Sunny Blenheim is nestled in the wine region of Marlborough and boasts an average of 2,438 hours of sunshine a year. The most populous town of the region, it has pretty mountain views that frame the town, which is brimming with colorful cafes, boutiques, artisan food shops, outdoor markets and walkways along the Taylor River Reserve, perfect for a stroll. There are several art galleries to explore, a museum of the history of Marlborough, and the Omaka Classic Cars museum.
