Walk to the marina, where you'll meet your certified captain and gear up in a survival float suit to stay warm and dry. Then, hold on as your high-speed vessel reaches up to 30 knots (35 mph). Depending on tides and winds, highlights may include Metlakatla Pass (a National Historic Site), Tugwell Island, Fairview Container Terminal, Dodge Cove, Salt Lake, McNichol Creek and more. Towering mountains and coastal scenery set the stage for wildlife encounters, so keep your eyes peeled for possible sightings of humpback whales, orcas, sea otters and bald eagles. Along the way, hear tales of indigenous cultures, early explorers and the region's marine ecosystem. Special Notes:
Minimum age is 8 years, minimum height is 4' and minimum weight is 100 lbs. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests or individuals with pre-existing back or neck conditions. Depending on the tide, the dock ramp may be steep. Guests will also need some flexibility and mobility to put on and remove the survival suit and to board the vessel.
