Your full day begins when you are greeted at the port by your knowledgeable guide, who will provide you with fascinating information regarding Costa Rica's culture and history, while you wind through picturesque countryside to Palmares. Here you will visit a 19th century church that has been partially built from crushed eggshells. Then it's on to the amazing Doka estate and coffee plantation where you will learn about the coffee-making process. You'll be guided by a "campesino" or Spanish farmer before enjoying a traditional Costa Rican buffet lunch at the estate's La Cajuela restaurant. Visit the souvenir shop for special coffee products, before journeying to La Garita, a magnificent botanical garden. View the bird area with a variety of colorful birds as well as amazing species of orchids and many other exotic flowers, before heading back to port.
