Embark on a spiritual journey to some of Rome's most revered religious sites. Upon arrival in Rome, you'll stop for photos at St. Paul's Outside the Walls Basilica, one of the four papal basilicas of Rome and the second largest after St. Peter's. Then, it's on to St. John in Lateran Basilica to see the acclaimed Holy Staircase, believed to be the same 28 steps Christ climbed when he was condemned to death. Next on the itinerary is the Basilica of St. Mary the Major, the largest church dedicated to Mary in Rome. Here, you'll view pieces of wood inside a crystal reliquary, which the faithful hold to be part of Jesus's manger. To celebrate your visit, you'll be treated to a brunch inside the Basilica! Refreshed, you'll return to your ship; en route, you'll stop for photos of St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.

Conservative attire required to enter the Churches/Basilicas. No exposed shoulders for both women & men.The tour includes extensive walking portions and periods of standing with some steps to negotiate. Tour includes walking over even, uneven surfaces, cobblestones surfaces. Tour is not suggested for Guests with walking difficulties and/or using a wheelchair.
The drive between Civitavecchia and Rome is approximately 1 1/2 hours, subject to traffic conditions.
The order of the tour may be reversed or altered depending on traffic or local conditions.

The tour involves a considerable amount of walking on inclined surfaces, steps, cobblestone pavement.
