Retrace the ghostly footsteps of Russian explorers, fur traders, the indigenous Tlingit people, and Gold Rush pioneers with the Ghosts of Historic Sitka Walking Tour. An enchanting story teller dressed in opulent 1867 period costume will guide and entertain you on your tour of Sitka's passageways and back alleys. On your stroll that winds past buildings constructed by early Russians, you'll hear chilling stories of the mythical Kooshdaa Kaa or Land Otter People who lured innocent beached sailors to their deaths, and tragic tales of children who sadly died so young in the harsh new land of the 1800s but are claimed to still be seen playing today. You'll also wander through ferns and spruce trees to the Russian Cemetery for a fun and unique paranormal investigation. The eerie tour includes outside visits to the iconic St. Michael's Cathedral and Rose Hill House.
