A thrilling journey through the sheltered waters of Sitka Sound on a Yamaha WaveRunner® is an exhilarating way to explore the untouched beauty of the Pacific Ocean. This guided 1.5-hour adventure on the water is a blend of adrenaline-pumping excitement and coastal scenery, making it ideal for both thrill seekers and nature enthusiasts. A short motorcoach ride brings you to the starting point, where you'll suit up and receive a safety briefing from the captain, a U.S. Coast Guard certified expert. Then, climb aboard your tandem Yamaha WaveRunner and head out caravan-style into the waters of Sitka, where thousands of islands and ocean waterways wait to be explored. The captain will make frequent stops in protected areas to share insights about local marine life, flora and fauna, as well as the history of Sitka. After an awe-inspiring exploration, you'll return to the starting point and drive back to port.

Special Notes:

Price is per WaveRunner, which can accommodate 1 or 2 passengers, so only one guest per party should book this excursion. We do not match independent guests so any companion must be of your choosing. At least one person per machine must operate the equipment and follow the directions of the Captain leading the group.

Minimum age is 16 years, minimum height is 4'2" and minimum weight is 100 lbs. Tour not available to guests with a history of stroke, epilepsy, heart conditions or back issues. Guests must walk down a loose gravel beach and into the water to board the machine.

A dry bag is provided for personal items, but guests should not bring anything they are not willing to lose. Cameras and cell phones are welcome if in a protective case. Comfortable clothes such as athletic pants or sweatpants are recommended to wear under the provided dry suit. The latex seals on the double-layered dry suits can be uncomfortably tight but this system makes these suits the most effective at providing extra layers of warmth and durability. All guests are required to wear a USCG-certified life vest.
