Experience the magic of the Red Onion Saloon before it opens to the public on this private early morning tour. Learn of the rich and colorful history of the Klondike Gold Rush, miners and working girls. First, you'll beat the rush on an exclusive morning visit to the historic Red Onion Saloon for a rare glimpse behind the velvet curtain. A lavishly costumed madam will greet you with a souvenir garter and serve up a mmimosa, Irish Cream Coffee or Red Light Bloody Mary, along with a tasty treat. Learn about the many iterations of the saloon since it's 1898 opening and hear stories of courageous women past and present to unveil the Red Onion's distinct role in Skagway, from the Gold Rush to modern day. Upstairs, you'll visit the celebrated brothel museum. Next, at the Gold Rush Cemetery, witness the final resting place of some of the more colorful characters of the Klondike Gold Rush. Finally, visit The Lookout, a photographer's delight offering a panoramic view of the Skagway Valley, glacier-clad mountains, Lynn Canal and your cruise ship.
