Experience life as a prospector on this fun-filled family tour that takes you back in time to the excitement of the Gold Rush. Your adventure begins as you board your motorcoach with a costumed guide for a ride through the historic streets of downtown Skagway to Dredge Town. Once there, learn about the state sport of dog mushing and enjoy a sled dog demonstration. You'll also get to meet, and interact with, the dogs and their puppies. Next, gather your supplies for adventure and enter the Gold Rush Training Camp. Learn to extract paydirt, help sluice it and assay the results. Interact with costumed characters and see the Sixty Mile Dredge, used if for mining in the Yukon. Claim your own fortune when you learn the art of panning for gold and practice in warm water troughs. You can count on striking it rich!. The adventure continues at the White Pass Train Depot, where you'll board your private rail car complete with your guide to entertain you. You'll climb nearly 3,000 feet over 20 miles of steep grades and cliff-hanging turns. Delight in the breathtaking views from the large picture windows and enjoy a snack. When you reach the White Pass Summit, a traditional "Klondike" toast is made with sparkling cider.
