Begin by traveling the scenic coastal road to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, one of the best-preserved forts of the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commanding an 800-foot-high plateau, this 300-year-old fortification offers sweeping views of forested mountains, cultivated fields, and idyllic islands. Continue on to the Caribelle Batik on the grounds of the lovely Romney Manor. A visit inside the studios offers a look at how Caribelle's signature fabrics are created. Watch artisans hand-print fabrics by the 2,500-year-old Indonesian wax-and-dye process known as batik. You can also stroll to the 17th century ruins of the Manor, site of the first land grant in the British West Indies. Later, visit the shop and purchase a lovely batik garment as a memento of your trip. Soak up your last views of this tranquil spot before re-boarding your transport back to the ship.
