Ideal for those who wish to see the sights with little or no walking, this tour around Basseterre is a great way to get acquainted with the beauty and history of St. Kitts. As you drive through town, your driver will point out landmarks like Independence Square, St. George's Anglican Church, the Berkeley Memorial, and the Queen Victoria Statue Roundabout. A stop at Romney Manor offers a glimpse into American history. The lovely estate was once owned by an ancestor of U.S. President Thomas Jefferson. Continue on to the Caribelle Batik on the grounds of the lovely Romney Manor for live demonstrations of the complicated process of making batik fabric. Back on the bus, you'll continue on to Timothy Hill Lookout for a photo stop. Continue down the island's Southeast Peninsula for views of Frigate Bay before the return drive to the ship. Later, visit the shop and purchase a lovely batik garment as a memento of your trip.
