Once there, you're instantly transported into the 4th/5th centuries, when iron implements and weapons were used. The restored longhouses with room for animals on the one end and their owners on the other, sit on the original sites. See demonstrations of some of these ancient skills and try a few yourself. Then, you'll re-board your motorcoach for a scenic tour that visits the outside of the best-preserved medieval cathedral in all of Norway, St. Swithun's, also referred to as Stavanger Cathedral.
