Your tour begins as you board your motorcoach for a scenic, 2 1/2-hour drive to Japan's famed Hakone National Park, a wonderland of forests, mountains and hot springs. Keep your camera ready, as photo opportunities at virtually every turn.
Upon arriving, you'll board a 18-passenger aerial gondola for a 8-minute ropeway journey to Owakudani Valley Station. En route, you'll be awestruck by the breathtaking views of the Hakone Park and Owakudani Valley's boiling and smoking thermal springs. At Owakudani Valley Station, you can opt to take a walking path that affords a close-up look at the steaming sulfur springs. A delicious lunch rounds out your trip to the park.
Next, you'll board a unique, Viking-style boat for a 30-minute cruise across Lake Ashi, a mountain lake created by volcanic activity. Along the way, your guide will point out such sights as the forest-clad mountain slopes and Mt. Fuji's majestic cone.
Your tour concludes with a drive back to the pier.
Special Notes:
The drive between Yokohama and Hakone National Park is approximately 2 1/2 hours each way, subject to traffic. Japanese Yen is required for additional purchases. Views of Mt. Fuji are subject to weather conditions. This tour is not recommended for passengers with walking difficulties. Tour order may vary. Please be advised that due to the status of volcano activities, hiking trails around crater area by Owakudani Station is closed for you to explore in your free time. Still you will visit Owakudani Station and have some time for shopping and to see the volcano activities.Tour timeline may vary to avoid overcrowding, etc.
