You will be driven through the Hutt Valley and over the Remutaka ranges arriving in about an hour at Greytown. Historic Greytown is home to excellent examples of Victorian colonial architecture that line the main street - in fact, it's New Zealand's most complete street of wooden Victorian buildings. You'll find a wide choice of cafés and restaurants serving seasonal menus and local wines, as well as designer boutiques and quirky local stores that stock everything from hand-made lead soldiers, handbags, jewellery, antiques and art.

Historic Greytown was New Zealand's first planned inland town. It was established in 1854 by settlers from Wellington who were looking for small, affordable portions of land to farm. They were assisted in their quest by Governor Sir George Grey and named the town in his honour.

You will visit the iconic Schoc Chocolate, a unique artisan chocolate studio.

Then onto Martinborough, where Pinot Noir and excellent restaurants promise to ease you into a very happy state of mind.

Packed with colonial charm, Martinborough features over 20 wineries, and a quaint village square. Some of New Zealand's best pinot noir comes from the town's predominately family-owned vineyards, so it's not surprising it is a key stop on the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail. Here you will visit 2 wineries for tasting of their wines.

You will enjoy lunch at one of the wineries.
After lunch enjoy your return drive to your cruise ship.
