What you will visit:
Green Island
Renowned as one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World," this picture-perfect paradise is located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park World Heritage Area. Once you reach the island you'll embark on a glass-bottom boat tour or secure your snorkel equipment. Take a self-guided walk around the 37-acre island, stroll through the rainforest and observe over 120 species of native plants, discover the marine life in the welcoming waters. Try parasailing for a bird's eye view of the reef, check out the world's largest crocodile in captivity, and stroll along the boardwalk. All optional activities are at your own additional expense.
Note: To make your day even more enjoyable be sure to wear a bathing suit, and bring a change of clothes, hat, towel, and sunscreen.
What you will see along the way:
A catamaran cruise across the Coral Sea brings you to Green Island. Feel the sea breeze and the anticipation as you near this treasured isle, a 6,000-year-old cay surrounded by magnificent coral reefs and topped with the only rainforest in the Great Barrier Reef.
Lunch:
A light sandwich lunch is provided with a beverageand chips. Don't forget to bring local currency to purchase additional drinks.
Special Notes:
IMPORTANT - Guests have the choice between two activities: snorkeling gear or glass bottom boat experience.To hire snorkelling equipment the cost would be AUD$20.00 per person they also have Lycra Suits available at a charge of $9.00
Bring your swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Bring local currency to purchase drinks and stinger suits. A 20 minute coach trasfer to and from the Reef Fleet Terminal is required. Card only is accepted on the island, no cash. Snorkelling is between the flags over sand beds, and guests must be strong swimmers to reach the coral reef.
