Exploring Honolulu Attractions

Perhaps one of the most visited cities in Hawaii is Honolulu. As the main metropolis on Oahu, this city is close to some of Hawaii's most luxurious beaches and notable attractions. While you're docked in Honolulu, you'll be nearby the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial located in Pearl Harbour, Waikiki Beach and the Punchbowl Crater (the site of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific) – all worthwhile sights to see while you're in the area, in between bouts of lying on the beach or playing in the water.

U.S.S. Arizona Memorial

This Honolulu attraction has an enormous significance to not only Hawaii, but the U.S. as a whole. The U.S.S. Arizona is located in Pearl Harbour and has a memorial erected over its sunken remains so that people can visit to reflect on its historical and emotional significance. Here, visitors can walk through the Pearl Harbour museum and see the numerous plaques set up around the venue that honour those who lost their lives.

Hanuama Bay

Hanuama Bay Nature Preserve is a must-see Honolulu attraction. Here, you can snorkel in a bay full of the region's rarest creatures, some of which can't be found anywhere else in the world. In addition to getting up close and personal with marine life, you'll also be able to enjoy lavish views of the towering Hawaiian hills and mountains, including Diamond Head. This mountain is perhaps the most renowned on Oahu for its enormous size and lava rocks that shine like diamonds.

Waikiki Beach

Located in the heart of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach is a hotspot for tourists and residents alike. Here, you're not only close to shops and restaurants with Hawaiian flair, but you have the opportunity to kick back and relax on some of the whitest sand on the island. Once you walk the length of Waikiki Beach, you'll find it difficult to resist the temptation to explore the other nearby beaches and beautiful architecture within Honolulu.

Honolulu attractions offer history, natural beauty and wonder, and so much more. Be sure not to miss a single sight on your Honolulu shore excursion.
